Maas completed his master's in Applied Physics at Delft University of Technology in 2022, specialising in nuclear energy. During his studies, he researched molten salt reactor technology, gaining experience in both experimental techniques and numerical methods. Following graduation, Maas joined the venture capital team at Invest-NL, a government investment fund focused on sustainable technologies, where he contributed to investments in molten salt reactor technology, biobased plastics, and chemical recycling of plastic waste.
At Nuclear-21, Maas brings together his motivation for sustainability and nuclear energy with his academic background and strategic experience. He focuses on nuclear investment and total cost modelling, techno-economic analyses, and the development of next-generation nuclear reactors, while also managing business development and internal project coordination.
